About the program
FastBreak Lacrosse Camps runs girls lacrosse programming at the University of Virginia under Julie Myers and Colleen Shearer. Myers is an IWLCA Hall of Fame inductee and a Central Virginia Hall of Fame honoree; Shearer is a two-time NCAA women’s lacrosse champion who has coached at UVA and James Madison. The program’s stated aim is to teach the fundamental skills that build confidence, foster growth and create a lifelong love for the fastest sport on two feet, while creating opportunities in the local community. That plays out across a calendar that never really stops. The Cavalier Lacrosse League is now in its twelfth spring season. The CLL Summer Series runs in June and July for girls in kindergarten through fourth grade. Off The Walls Indoor covers the winter, and Myers/Shearer pop-up clinics fill in around all of it. This is a two-person operation running a year-round program. There is no administrator, no registrar and no web team — the same people coaching on Saturday are the ones opening registration on Monday.
How they use Camp Network
A year-round calendar of leagues, camps, clinics and pop-ups means programs are constantly being added, and each one is a different size, length and age group. FastBreak runs all of it from one account, and the camp website sits on Camp Network too, so a new clinic goes up and opens for registration in the same place rather than waiting on a developer.
“Every time we’ve needed updates or camps and clinics added to our site, the Camp Network team has taken care of us right away.”
“Camp Network has been a great timesaver and tool to handle my website and all registrations for both large and small camps and clinics. The site is easy to use on our end and for the registrants alike. It was a great business decision to go with Camp Network!”
